First thing, is to change your RRURL to make it sound attractive and yet natural. You chose an RRURL when you first registered. As it explained earlier, an RRURL is how SiteSell knows which customers belong to which affiliate. If a customer reaches SiteSell's webpage through your personal RRURL, and makes a purchase, SiteSell will immediately know that you are to be credited with that sale.

Well, the problem is that this has happened to just about everyone on the Internet. That is why many people immediately avoid it once they see that it is an affiliate link. Wow, it almost sounds like even you as an affiliate might suffer. Don't worry, I only said ALMOST. There are many options and many possibilities. But my best advice, is to choose one that sounds natural and doesn't make it look obvious that it is an affiliate link. Words such as, index, important, section, classic, layout, original, department all make rather good choices, because they sound like part of the website, and it does not sound like any affiliate link.


While the program tells you that you are limited to only one whole word, you can actually create a combination of a few words if you prefer. All you need to do is add a dash in between them. For example, index-page, classic-layout, original-section. All these counts and can be used. Noticed how some of them actually sound really original and seems like a natural part of the original URL?


But please remember that our main goal is only to make it sound natural so that people will not know that it is an affiliate link. Please never try to use misleading words in your RRURL. This is a legit business, so we also need to treat it like one. Tricking your customers will not be beneficial to the long run of your affiliate business.


In the case that someone has actually used the RRURL that you wanted, your RRURL will be assigned a number behind it to distinguish between your affiliate link, and the other affiliate link which used the same word. For example, if your RRURL is index, and someone else has used it, your RRURL will automatically be changed to something like index9. Once you click on the Complete Modifications button, you will be showed your new RRURL. You can only check if someone is using that RRURL by seeing if your new RRURL has an additional number behind it that you had never originally placed in.

But before we look at the method to achieve it, let's take a closer look at why websites are so successful for an affiliate.


The reason websites are very successful, is because visitors go to those websites, in search of answers. If your website is about online business, then the visitors to your website are obviously in search of information and answers to their problems regarding online businesses. These websites are a unique type of website. They allow anyone to register, and post questions on various categories. I think you can easily see where this is going.


You look for people who have questions, where the products you are selling as an affiliate provide an answer. You then answer the question and post your affiliate link along with your answer. The person who asked the question will then read your answer and click on your affiliate link and if they like what they see, they will end up buying that product, and you get the commission for that sale.


It sounds simple, because in theory, it is that simple. You are actually selling your affiliated products to people who are actually interested in it. Chances for those people buying it is quite good. It is a very simple business logic, find people who are interested and give them a solution to their problem from which you will profit from.


While it may be perfect in theory, in real life there are a few more factors that acts as obstacles to your ultimate success. The first obstacle is, competition. From first glance, it looks like answering in second person would be the most effective. While it may be the obvious case, we need to remember that everyone else will also be using the same approach. So it is possible that for certain circumstances, answering in first person might actually get you the most positive attention. You need to analyze the circumstances and consider properly before choosing.



• How much should you talk about the product you are selling?

The correct answer would be, just enough to make the reader interested enough to click on your link. If you talk too much about the product you are trying to sell, it will become very obvious to anyone that your main goal is just to sell that product. You want to avoid that.


You don't to be seen as trying to pressure people into buying, you want to be seen as someone who knows what they are talking about, and is only recommending that product because you know that it solves their problem. Remember, you don't need to do any selling, just preselling because...



• Which landing page should you choose?

You have quite a huge number of landing page to choose from. A landing page is where the visitor will arrive at when they click on your affiliate link. You only need to presell your readers, gain their trust and make them click on your link. When they arrive at the landing page, it is the landing page's job to sell that product to them.

This means that you can choose a different landing page, according to the needs and characteristics of the asker. You have plenty of options to choose from, but the most important thing is to choose the right one fore each situation. • Placing your RRURL into the answer

Lastly, never place more than one RRURL in one question, regardless of whether or not the landing page is the same. Placing more than one RRURL makes you look desperate and that you are trying hard to sell that product. Again, the main key is to make it look natural. So never use more than one RRURL.

Please remember that the answers that you give on those websites, determine how much income you can generate. You can have a nice and natural RRURL, and even selected the best possible landing page for each scenario, but if the people do not click on your RRURL, then nothing will ever happen.


Try placing yourself into the shoes of the asker. What are they really after? Does your answer really solves their problem? Is your answer attractive enough that the asker and any other readers will want to click on your RRURL to learn more about the product you are recommending? It can take a while, but you will soon be able to give an answer that answers all of these questions.


A good way of finding out what constitutes a good answer, try going to Yahoo Answers and search through some of the "best answers" that was voted by the asker and readers. It should give you a good idea of what types of answers people expect and appreciate. Try to find what they have in common, and try to apply it to your own answers.

Some of these question and answer websites also use a ranking system. For example, in Yahoo Answer, each time you answer a question, you are given points. And each time your answer is chosen as the best answer, you get additional bonus points. There are multiple levels which are determined by the amount of points you have. The higher the level, the more privileges you get, and more importantly, you give a much better impression as someone who can be trusted.

Important Details about Yahoo Answer
You can join as many question and answer websites as you like or that you feel you can manage, but I highly recommend that you must at least join Yahoo Answers. It has a very large community, and while that may mean more competition, it also means more questions, which means more potential customers. But there is an even bigger reason why I highly urge you to use Yahoo Answers, which I will explain in the next section below.


There is one characteristics about Yahoo Answers though, that I have to warn you about. If you keep placing an active RRURL in each of your answers, after a few questions, you will get an error message. It appears that this is an error that Yahoo made on purpose, to deter the scammers and abusers.


I recommend that you use the exact same strategy that I use. Try to answer a few other questions without placing your links in it. A good ratio would be 50/50. That means that for every 10 answers that you place your active RRURL link, answer another 10 in which you did not place any links in.


It is good practice to at maximum, place links in 2 or 3 answers consecutively, and then answer the same amount of questions without placing your link. Thanks to Yahoo Answers large category of questions, you can answer a question about any topic. You can answer 2 questions that you can promote your affiliated products at, and then answer another 2 questions that interest you, even if it has nothing to do with the product.


If you do this, you should be able to avoid that error message. Please be aware that when you first start out, you can only answer 10 questions a day. After a very short while you will be able to quickly move up to level 2 which allows you to answer 20 each day. As you improve your level, you get to answer more questions, and you get a much better reputation.


Yahoo Answers also has an advanced searching system that you should use. By using this system, you will be able to look for all the questions that contains certain words or phrases. This actually makes it really simple and quick to find questions that you can promote your affiliated products at. Words or phrases that you might want to use, "start an online business", create a website" and even "making money on the Internet". I am sure you get the picture.


Once you log into Yahoo Answers, you will see the advanced search functions in the menu. This system also allows you to look for questions that are a few days old to months old. This means that you do not have to go to Yahoo Answers every single day, since you will be able to still answer those questions at anytime. Personally, I only log in and answer these questions once for every three to four days.

Logical Point of View: Why this will work?

The reason why this will work is very simple and logical. You are actually selling something to people who are actually already interested. After a while, you will start to see results. How long does it take to see results? It depends. Sometimes it can come down to luck, sometimes skill.


We can't do anything about luck, but we can do something about skills. After one or two months, you should be very familiar with what you need to do. Some people are able to start generating income in as fast as one week, some took about 3 months before they start seeing any money. But once they did, it provided a constant and steady income flow every month.


Even if you do not start generating income after a couple of months, do not fret. Do more research at what type of answers people are expecting and causes them to take action. If you keep doing that, success is not too far away. And the biggest thing that might surprise you, is that this is not a short term project! It is actually one that really bears fruits in the long run.
